Licensing 2007 International
With licensed product heating up in popularity, we checked out the Licensing 2007 International trade show in NYC to bring you some of our favorites:
Mr. Men: For anyone who grew up in the UK during the ’70s, the Mr. Men books and TV show were as much a part of childhood as Sesame Street was here in the US. Original Mr. Men characters like Mr. Tickle and Mr. Bump were joined by Little Miss characters, such as Little Miss Bossy, in 1981. Due to their iconic status in British history, the fashion crowd paid tribute to their childhood favorites when author and illustrator Adam Hargreaves (son of the creator Roger Hargreaves) made a limited addition Little Miss Stella modeled after fashion designer Stella McCartney. Now, Mr. Men and Little Miss are making a comeback. Already seen on t-shirts at stores such as Urban Outfitters, the Mr. Men cartoon will be hitting the Cartoon Network in January 2008. Expect U.S. children to be just as enamored as British kids were 30 years ago.

Does anyone know anything about a record by the Mr. Men called 'Let's go to Mr. Men Land - produced in or around 1977/78? It was with CBS in London. Any ideas?

Interesting question. Did a little digging around here and haven't found anything yet. Will keep you posted.

Sorry to be a pest but WE LOVE THE MR. MEN SHOW!!!!
I was wondering if any of the new characters like Miss Daring, Miss Scary, or Miss Calamity will be available as tee shirts from Junk Food apparel? No offense to the other tee shirt manufacturers but the Miss Chatterbox tee I bought I from a major retailer was ill fitting and not nearly as nice.
If there are upcoming products featuring the TV Mr. Men will you let us know? It doesn't seem like many of our blog questions get answered anymore.
Anywho we love your show!!
PS: question from daughter Melody: are Little Miss Christmas and Mr. Christmas related?
