Somebody needs a tickle...

So by now most of you have checked out our new Mr. Men Show website. I don’t know about you but nothing screams BIG FAT FUN like good old fashion monkey tickling. If you have no idea what i’m referring to, pls allow Mr. Tickle to break it down.

One thing you may have noticed were the voices. Thoughts? Voicing the Mr. Men and Little Miss characters was one of our most interesting creative challenges. How do you voice a character that millions of readers have already voiced in their head? Its a tall order, for certain, but I think we really ended up with some amazingly hysterical performances.

Let us know which voices you liked the best. Oh, and don’t even get me started on Mr. Tickle... K

I'm loving the new Mr. Men site. The character's voices are so indelible and once you hear them and their catch-phrases you can't forget them. Mr. Grumpy ("No Crooked Cucumbers!") is probably my favorite, though Mr. Happy ("Thanks for Poking Me!") and Mr. Bounce ("Hel-lo! Good-Bye! Bounce Bounce Bounce Wheee Whee Whee!" are equally great. I can see Mr. Tickle is gonna get into a lot of trouble!!!! Miss Sunshine sounds almost maddeningly perky, but that fits her to a T...

And I'm addicted to Mr. Bounce's game. Its not all that easy, either! When will you add Mr. Bump's game? It doesn't seem to have been fully loaded yet.

Love the new Mr Men & Little Miss Website. Looking forward to the comeback, watching patiently as all the new creations evolve.
MOST EXCITING!!!!
Love the somewhat different background scences, have a little Magic Roundabout influence in a couple of them by the looks.
The Characters look great, im glad they haven't changed to much. However i do find the voices somewhat unusal, being a child of the 80's i grew up with the voices of Pauline Collins & John Alderton, and of course the Late Great Arthur Lowe, As a Great Fan they can't be beaten.

Thanks! I love the Mr. Bounce game too. Mr. Bump's game is on the site now, be sure to click on him on the home page. Its ridiculously therapeutic. Let me know what you think.

The backgrounds are one of my favorite pieces of the show- they are truly pieces of art.

Poopity-Poop! Mr. Bumps game STILL doesn't work on my screen!

The new site does NOT work properly. There are serious issues re sound layering, layout display and file loading plus it has definite browser compatibility issues. This work has been poorly executed, the voices are "off" and it has not been technically tested. What a poor show!

We’re really sorry to hear that you’re experiencing problems with the website and are grateful that you’ve bought them to our attention.

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, the lip flap animations on the site were never going to be perfect. Rest assured they will be fully animated on the TV show. Regarding your comments about browser compatibility, sound layering etc., it would be great to better understand the problems you’re having so I’ve asked our web team to get in touch with you directly via the address you’ve registered on the blog.

Thanks again.

Wow! I tell you, most classic children's characters suffer dearly due to revamps or updates, but from the looks of this, you've all done great on the Mr Men and Little Miss! The characters look different but, in a wonderful way, they've still kept their nostalgic charm that makes us still love them. And an added plus that Adam Hargreaves is working closely alongside on this, which is a good sign that this show will prove to be very popular :)

As for the characters, I loved hearing their voices via the website. Some where a little loud (ouch) but the rest were hilariously funny and several really fitted the characters perfectly. I could be wrong, but did I reconise Candi Milo and/or Billy West somewhere there?

Something else as well - when this premiers in the UK, will the characters be voiced by British VAs? If so, then it'd be brilliant to keep them closer to their original roots. Otherwise, keep up the great work :D

Thanks for this wonderful feedback. Great to hear. Yes, the British version of the TV show will not feature American voices. We're currently in the process of finding its sound with our UK counterparts. Will keep you posted. K

Daughter Melody and I just watched the Farming episode for the first time (we missed the first time around) and WHAT A TREAT it was! We love love LOVED Mr. Scatterbrain and Mr. Trickle singing "Tickle the cows!". And we giggled and laughed when Mr. Scatterbrain pulled out the steaming hubcap and his pet cuddle fish to help with the milking.

The show is So colorful & imaginative it takes our breath away!

I changed our screen name to "WE love the Mr. Men show" because WE really do.

Hi, I think it would be a huge hit to get into the crazy of stuffed animals with a code for online characters. Like webkins. You create an online world for them. I will be the first to buy one for my little one! I would gear it to more of the 4-8 year olds.
