3 Days 'til US premiere of Mr. Men Show

Its almost here, the premiere of the Mr. Men Show on Cartoon Network in the US! Thrilled beyond belief? We thought so. We are so excited to have the Mr. Men show finally bust onto the scene! In preparation for the launch, we sat down and watched all the Mr. Men episodes again from start to finish. Have to say, it was great fun, especially to see in one fall swoop just how many different sketches, music videos, and interstitials were produced...about 450 segments in all!

So, be sure to tune in!

Thanks for all your comments and thoughts throughout the production process- it truly was helpful.

Impatiently waiting to hear your thoughts on the episode!

I got home from school early today, and saw a Mr. Men music video on CN. (and I taped some of it, but I was a little late pushing record) It had Mr. Messy as a DJ, and it also had Mr. Nosy, Mr. Small, Mr. Persnickety, and Miss Chatterbox. I thought it had a really fun feel to it, and the song was catchy, too!

I've gotta confess, I never really saw that many Mr. Men or Little Miss books as a kid. (I do remember reading Little Miss Splendid.) But when I first heard of this show, I decided to start checking out some of the books. I borrowed some from an aunt who works in an elementary school, plus I got some for Christmas. I think they're so cute, (my favorite so far is Mr. Bump) and this show looks great, too! Can't wait to tape it and watch it when I get home on Monday! Good Luck with the launch! ♥

Wow - one day to go! Very exciting stuff!! Congrat's and all the best with the launch of the new Mr. Men!

Will the other Mr. Men and Little Miss appear in this revival?

because ToonZone is not pleased, http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=21356

We all absolutely loved it here -- great job!

One problem though: my kids want me to download the Dillydale dance song but I can't find it anywhere... will it be made available?

thanks so much. It's really a fantastic show!

Love this show! for some reason, being a teenager and all, Mr. Men is appealing, funny and the art direction is AWESOME. ♥
even though the primary target is 4-7 years, it's cool.
never read any books but I'm aware of all the characters.

I have read most of the books and I can see them in the characters on the show. What does Persnickety mean anyways? My brother likes Mr.Nosey and Mr.Small and his hat.I like Mr.Quiet and Mr.Bump not a big fan of Mrs.Naughtey or Mr.Rude he seems French.

Oh, fun! Thanks for linking us! :)

I wish you all the best with the launch of the new Mr. Men!

Here are my thoughts for the morning of 15/03/08:

Why have you sacked the Mr. Men Show? After tomorrow I see it is no longer on your channel. It is my favourite programme - Have you people gone mad? The Mr. Men Show just began last month and now you're through with it? My uncle says the show is well loved back home in the United Kingdom and undoubtedly it is here too and you're just not reading your ratings correctly! I'm certain that the show is popular! ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN! I'm going on break from school and you remove the The Mr. Men Show just when I can actually be at home to watch it??? And what is the significance of this news being made public on the Ides of March? Haven't you been listening to a word I've been saying? Who is in charge of your prógramming?

This is completely unacceptable. I'm going to write to a higher authority. Who might that be?

Rhoda, I think the reason that CN is not showing Mr. Men for the next 2 weeks is because they are doing a 2 week TV event called "Beasts Unleashed" that starts every weekday at 9am in anticipation for the new "Ben 10: Alien Force" series. Don't worry. I'm sure that when the two weeks are up, Mr. Men will return to its original timeslot. Besides, it's still airing on the weekends, so CN hasn't given up on it.

Oh, thank goodness! Thank you for putting my mind at ease, MuttGirl.

You should be running this blog!:)

We were really enjoying Mr. Men! It's sad that you took it off the air.

It doesn't seem like you should broadcast the show every day until people get familiar and really comfortable with the characters and their world and then pull the rug out from under us like that.

My 2 year old son LOVES The Mr Men Show on Cartoon Network here in the US and I would Tivo it every day but I just noticed that it is not on everyday now and looks like they moved it to once a week. This is terrible and unacceptable, does anybody know where to write or who to contact about this. Thanks and my Wife and I love the show too.

Even if it is only for a mere two weeks you CANNOT be serious with the shows you have scheduled as a replacement for my beloved Mr. Men Show; Squirrel Boy, Chop Socky Chooks, Camp Laszlo, Baby Looney Tunes?

It's codswallop, all of it!

Yuck!

Rhoda et al: Thanks so much for your continuing fanships! Regarding the two week break, the best thing to do is call/email Cartoon Network straight away - their general number is (404) 575-5077- and tell them you want more Mr. Men.

Thanks for the support!

I telephoned the Cartoon Network at the number provided by the person posting as my namesake. A brusque and cheeky young man person answered and told me that they’re having a lot of “on-air challenges” and the least of their worries was “The Mr. Man Show”. He went on to say that Cartoon Network doesn’t even make Mr. Men and that the show was “made by some place in Glendora” and that I should try watching something good like “Out of Jimmy’s Head” instead.

Now I’m really confuddled.

If I'm being mocked by Cartoon Network and ignored by whomever is manning this blog where am I to turn?

Whoever you spoke to at CN had no right to treat you that way. They're supposed to help and support their customers, not ridicule them. That just makes me sick.

You could try contacting Renegade Animation, the company that animates the show, instead. You can find contact info at their website. (There's a street adress, phone and fax numbers at the bottom of the page): http://www.renegadeanimation.com/

Or, you could try Chorion. They own the rights to the Mr. Men. They might know a thing or two about the show.
http://www.chorion.co.uk/chorion/contact/

I hope this helps, and I hope whoever you speak to at Renegade or Chorion is MUCH more helpful, and courteous, than that CN guy.

(I mean, come on. Out Of Jimmy's Head? Good!? Phooey!!! That's, like, the worst show on CN!)

Thanks again, MuttGirl!:)

If Cartoon Network thinks that the Mr. Men Show is not that great... THEY'RE WRONG!!!!!
I love the characters, the songs, the scenes.... and the Mini In-between clips! They keep showing those extremely dumb shows instead of Mr. Men!!!!

Just so you know, my sister wakes me up every Saturday & Sunday to watch Mr. Men. I'd like it if it were on at weekdays in the afternoons.

("Out of Jimmy's Head" isn't even a cartoon! The TV Station is called Cartoon Network. I agree with MuttGirl.)
