Whoa-ho-ho Wonderful!

Hey Kids! Back from holiday and as usual so excited to read your wonderful comments. Love all the ideas floating around about new characters and we are really taking them into account and using them in our development so THANKS!.

Wanted to share a tiny bit of the great press we are receiving around the Mr. Men show...you know these are up on our refrigerator:

“Episodes pick up where Hargreaves’ pages left off...while the animation is imaginative and lively, the best part is the show’s savvy sense of humor...The Mr. Men Show will touch everyone who tunes in” The Hollywood Reporter

“With a slightly surreal edge, this is whackier— and far funnier —than most other children’s shows” Daily Mail

“Using a sketch comedy format and more than 25 main characters, the new Mr. Men Show boldly goes where few other preschool toons have dared to roam! Animation Magazine

“An incredibly innovative show that mixes Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In with Sesame Street [and] is sure to keep your knee biters fascinated” Newsrama

More to come in the next weeks, stay tune! - Sarah

The Mr. Men Show goes global!

Well, we are plugging along over here, enjoying all of your comments. Thank you so much for your continued enthusiasm. Get ready to make some new friends, because the Dillydale express is rolling into another territory this weekend! That’s right, on April 12th, France joins the UK and US as a new Mr. Men territory.  France 5 will premier “Les Monsieur Madame” on 7:50 am this Saturday during their popular children’s slot “Debout les Zouzous.” It will air the show Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7:40 am and Saturday, Sunday at 7:50 am.

Along with the show, we will be also launching a French version of the Mr. Men show website – www.LesMonsieurMadame.fr.  You’ve probably noticed that you are now able to view the different versions of the Mr. Men site by picking various national flags. FYI - if for any reason you pick the wrong flag (I’m talking to you Mr. Nosy and Mr. Scatterbrain) its easy to switch back to your territory. On any page you’ll notice that the bottom third of the screen lists all the characters names. Under the characters’ name are listed “Parents Section/Change Country.” Click on “Change Country” and pick your desired flag. All the version feature the same games/activities but feature the voices of that territory.

So say Bonjour to Madame Supersonique (Little Miss Daredevil), Monsieur Chatouille (Mr. Tickle), Monsieur Malchance (Mr. Bump) and the rest of the Jolieville gang as they make a home in France.

Hooray for Everyone

We are BLOWN AWAY by the response to our last posting. So many of your came out to give us your opinion and we loved it. Your level of creativity and brand knowledge (with just the right pinch of Mr. Men lunacy) is wonderful, as Mr. Happy would say. We are still reading through and already love your suggestions.

Now that the show has been on air for a few weeks does anyone have any favorite episodes? I personally am a big fan of "Rainy Day".

Thanks in advance for all your thoughts!

New Character Ideas...

Guys, we are loving your comments! In particular your requests/ideas for new characters. Little Miss Cutie Pie, Little Miss Shy, super fun! So let's keep the creative juices flowing...if you were to create a character or include another from the original books who would it be? What would they look like? What would be their quirks? Who would be their friends?

These are exactly the type questions our writers, artists and producers ask themselves when they create characters. Excited to see where your imaginations take you- Sarah

Fan Alert: Characters revealed on UK site Monday

Just got word that on Monday, the 18th of February, the UK site is going to reveal the last three characters and their games. Very excited for all the Mr. Men and Little Misses to be out into the world, its been a tremendously hard secret to keep. I won't say  more for fear of giving anything away but these last three games have to be some of my favorites.

And US users, once Monday comes you are free to comment on the characters. Thank you for being respectful and not letting the Mr. Men cat out of the bag.

Under our Mr. Men Hats...

Obviously we're all smiles here having watched our premiere on Cartoon Network (can't wait til Five joins the mix).

A note to our US/CA users: Let's not spoil the fun for our European counterparts and reveal the identity of the final three characters...it would be a shame to do so, so close to their own premiere.

So, when you comment, be sure to not reveal their identity yet. Don't worry they'll be revealed soon enough. The inhabitants of Dillydale thank you!

3 Days 'til US premiere of Mr. Men Show

Its almost here, the premiere of the Mr. Men Show on Cartoon Network in the US! Thrilled beyond belief? We thought so. We are so excited to have the Mr. Men show finally bust onto the scene! In preparation for the launch, we sat down and watched all the Mr. Men episodes again from start to finish. Have to say, it was great fun, especially to see in one fall swoop just how many different sketches, music videos, and interstitials were produced...about 450 segments in all!

So, be sure to tune in!

US/UK site

A bunch of you have been asking about the difference between the US and the UK site and being able to see them both, so I figured I would answer them in one big posting. The US and UK sites are the same except for three differences: The UK site features the voices that will be present in the UK version of the show (the US featuring US show voices), the spelling varies accommodating the different dialects, and the broadcaster is Channel 5 in the UK and Cartoon Network in the US.  Everything else is the same!

The reason you can only see one version of the site is because it has been geo-locked, which means you are automatically served the site relevant to the country that you are viewing it from. As of right now there is no way to override the geo-locking technology, but it’s actually a good thing. As kids start watching the show, and going online to learn more, we want to make sure they are experiencing the site that correlates with the show they’re watching. But don’t worry; if you have never heard the UK voice (you Northern Hemisphere folk) I’m planning on uploading some vocal tracks on the blog. Stay tuned!

And, word on the street, is we are very close to uploading video to www.mrmen.com so I'll be sure to put the word out when its about to go live. - Sarah
